The University of Science and Technology (Bach Khoa) at the University of Da Nang and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) signed a memorandum of understanding on October 13 to cooperate on training, research and technology transfer for the power transmission sector, according to the University of Da Nang, which published its account on October 15.
On training, the two sides will exchange information on graduate supply and demand. EVNNPT will help students with internships and visits to the transformer stations the company manages, and they will run short courses to update staff and students on transmission technology. On research, staff and experts will develop applied products for the sector, look for joint funding and manage intellectual property and results together. The focus areas are the technical workforce, digital technology and automation, with the aim of improving how the power system operates.
The university quotes Rector Nguyễn Hữu Hiếu and EVNNPT's acting general director, Hoàng Xuân Khôi, but its account does not say who signed.
What is still unknown
No funding, student numbers, course sizes or start dates were published, so for now the memorandum sets out areas of cooperation rather than specific programs.
