Two member schools of the University of Danang, the University of Science and Technology (Bách Khoa) and the University of Foreign Language Studies, each signed a cooperation memorandum with Hanbat National University in South Korea, according to the University of Danang, which published its account on October 19, 2026.
The Bách Khoa agreement came at a meeting on October 14. Vice Principal Nguyễn Đình Lâm said it reflects a shared commitment to academic exchange and research. It lists exchanges of students and lecturers at undergraduate and postgraduate level, joint training programs, research projects, conferences and shared access to laboratories and equipment.
The Foreign Languages agreement followed on October 15. Vice Principal Nguyễn Hữu Bình said language and cultural exchange can bridge higher-education cooperation. It covers language and culture training, research, staff and student exchange, joint events and shared teaching resources. The Hanbat delegation toured the school's Korean Culture Space and discussed working with its Faculty of Korean Language and Culture. Hanbat's rector, Prof. Oh Yong-Jun, said he expects the partnership to help internationalize higher education.
A memorandum states intent rather than binding commitments. What is not reported: student or lecturer numbers, scholarships, named degree programs and how long the agreements run.
