The University of Science and Technology in Da Nang (Bách Khoa), part of the University of Danang, signed a cooperation memorandum with Oklahoma State University on October 12, according to the University of Danang, which published its account on October 14.
Bách Khoa vice principal Nguyễn Đình Lâm and Oklahoma State vice president Randy Kluver represented their institutions at the working session. The agreement lists joint training programs, collaborative research, and exchanges of lecturers, researchers and students. The report says the two sides share strengths in engineering and computer science.
A memorandum of understanding states intent rather than binding commitments, and the university's account gives no funding, student numbers, program names or start dates. Oklahoma State is a public research university in Stillwater, Oklahoma, founded in 1890.
For students the practical question is whether the memorandum leads to named exchange places or joint degrees. That has not been announced.
