As of Saturday, October 17, the second section of coastal road 129 (the Võ Chí Công road) had 20.45 of 23.1 kilometers of site handed over to the contractor, about 88.5%, according to Báo Đà Nẵng, which reported the figure on October 18. The paper's headline calls it Component 1, but the text describes Component 2, which runs through Duy Nghĩa, Thăng An, Thăng Bình, Thăng Điền and Thăng Trường communes.
Construction output stood at 291 of 492 billion dong. The roadbed is designed at 12.75 meters wide, widening to 36 meters past the Hà Lam - Chợ Được industrial cluster.
The remaining land is mostly in Duy Nghĩa and Thăng Bình. In Duy Nghĩa, four households have not agreed to compensation and four more await approval of their plans. In Thăng Điền, six paid households have not demolished their homes because they are waiting for resettlement land, but are letting work proceed outside their house areas. In Thăng Bình, the city set an October 20 deadline for the agriculture and environment department to resolve a resettlement-lot request, and two resettlement areas cannot yet be developed.
The report gives no funding source, contractor or completion date.
