A city-level council in Da Nang voted on the afternoon of October 20 to recommend 88 teachers for the title "Nhà giáo Đà Nẵng tiêu biểu" (outstanding Da Nang teacher) for 2026, Báo Đà Nẵng reported.
The council, chaired by Deputy Chairwoman of the People's Committee Nguyễn Thị Anh Thi, received 96 dossiers: 79 from ward and commune councils, 15 from the Department of Education and Training and 2 from the University of Da Nang. It judged 88 to meet the standards, and all 16 council members voted to approve them.
The Department of Education and Training will now finalise the paperwork with other agencies and submit it to the chairman of the People's Committee, who awards the title. A ceremony is planned for November 2026. The report does not list the nominees' names.
