The number of new apartments on offer in Da Nang shrank in the third quarter. CafeF reports, citing DKRA Consulting's quarterly housing report, that primary supply was 4,385 apartments across 20 projects, down 14% from the previous quarter.

Newly launched supply fell almost 40%. Sales were 2,099 units, down 25% on the quarter and 24% on a year earlier, according to DKRA.

Mid-range "class B" projects made up 46% of supply and 68% of primary sales. Ngũ Hành Sơn accounted for 40% of supply and 43% of transactions, mostly in newly opened projects averaging VND60-70 million per square metre. DKRA says primary prices there held steady with incentives attached, while resale prices fell about 3-5%.

For the fourth quarter, DKRA expects new apartment supply to drop by a further 500 to 1,000 units from the third quarter, concentrated in Ngũ Hành Sơn, Hải Châu and Sơn Trà. It forecasts resale apartment prices to keep falling.

These are one consultancy's estimates. DKRA's land-plot figures for the same quarter are covered separately.
