Da Nang Art Creatives Connection (DACC) 2026 will run from October 30 to November 8 at the Da Nang Museum and the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 20. The city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the organiser, and the event marks Vietnam Cultural Day on November 24 under the theme "History of Tomorrow".
The programme has more than 30 activities: exhibitions, contemporary dance, workshops, art tours and panel discussions, with artists, curators, artisans and cultural groups from Vietnam and abroad. The Da Nang Fine Arts Festival 2026 forms part of it. The organisers describe DACC as an annual event meant to link heritage with contemporary urban spaces and later expand to other parts of Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Named exhibitions include "Following the Path", contemporary art on history and memory; "While the Water Still Flows", photography on local history and identity; and "The Soul of Bamboo in Hoi An", a show of bamboo sculptures and installations. Others are "Truc Chi", "Harmony", "The Forest Lives On in the Film Roll" and "The Charm of Three Regions".
Two performances are announced: "X-Project", a contemporary dance work inspired by Champa culture that mixes movement, sound and installation, and "Dialogue with Heritage", which sets traditional music against sound, lighting and contemporary art. Visitors can also join a Curator Tour, a Museum Heritage Tour and an Artist Tour, and try woodblock printing at sessions guided by the Museum of Cham Sculpture.
The Vietnamese-language report names Nguyễn Vũ Xuân Hà as programme design director and curator, and adds talks on creative ecosystems and cultural industries. Neither report gives daily schedules, performance times, ticket or registration arrangements, or a full list of artists. Anyone planning a visit should check with the museums or the Department before going; this story will be updated when the organisers publish them.
Why it matters: Ten days of museum-based contemporary art is a rare, citywide cultural programme for residents who want more than beach and nightlife, and its use of the Cham Sculpture museum ties it to one of Da Nang's best-known heritage sites.
