Da Nang's Startup and Innovation Support Center signed a cooperation memorandum on October 23 at the Daegu-Da Nang Global Partners Round Table in South Korea, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. The other signatories were the intellectual property training project office at Kyungpook National University and the Daegyeong ICT Industry Association.

The memorandum sets a framework for cooperation in information technology, intellectual property, workforce training and business support. Planned activities include exchanging technology, commercialising research results, joint projects, a support network for ICT firms and training for what the report calls high-quality global human resources.

Lê Thị Thục, deputy director of the Department of Science and Technology, named digital technology, AI, semiconductors, software and smart urban development as priorities. She called the Da Nang-Daegu Technology and Innovation Showcase Space a practical result of the partnership.

The report gives no budget, deadlines or named projects, so the memorandum is a starting point rather than a funded programme. It follows a Da Nang science delegation's October 22 visit to Daegu, which we covered when no agreement had been signed.
