Da Nang needs growth of about 13.6% in the fourth quarter to reach its 2026 target of 11.22%, Finance Department director Trần Thị Thanh Tâm told the city's quarterly press conference on October 23, the city portal reported. Services and industry-construction would each have to grow 14% to 14.5%.
Third-quarter growth was estimated at 11.83%, up from 9.31% in the first quarter and 9.66% in the second. For nine months the estimate is 10.31%, ahead of the national 9.01%. Tâm acknowledged that growth in the nine months and the third quarter fell short of the plan.
She named two weak spots. Credit growth was 3.75% at the end of August against 9.44% nationwide, and public-investment disbursement, though among the highest in the country, is still below requirements. Of 351 stalled projects, 206 have been handled and 145 remain unresolved.
The city issued Plan No. 522/KH-UBND on October 9 with a revised growth scenario. It sets disbursement targets of 88% of the plan by the end of October, 93% by the end of November, 98% by the end of December and 100% by January 31, 2027. Other measures include year-end events, shopping and night-economy programmes, support for firms with revenue of 500 billion dong or more, and choosing investors for five industrial clusters this year.
