Da Nang recorded about 15.86 million lodging guests from January through September 2026, up 26.4% on the same period last year, according to figures the city broadcaster reported on October 8, citing the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's announcement of October 5.
The split:
- International guests: about 7.73 million, up 28.7%.
- Domestic guests: about 8.13 million, up 24.3%.
Money followed more slowly in some lines. Revenue from lodging and food and beverage came to about 52,945 billion dong, up 26.2%. Travel-agency revenue was about 4,028 billion dong, up 16.5%. Tour operators carried about 1.35 million passengers, up 14.7%.
The report adds two business-travel details. Da Nang hosted 40 international wedding events in the first eight months of the year, and in August alone it received 29 conference and incentive groups with 7,574 visitors.
Why it matters: The figures count guests who stayed in lodging, a different measure from total arrivals, so they shouldn't be set against other cities' visitor counts without checking the definition. Lodging and restaurants grew at almost the same rate, which suggests visitors are spending in step with their numbers, while tour operators grew about ten points slower. The report gives no room counts or occupancy rates, so it can't say whether supply kept up.
