Da Nang's land fund development centre is managing 705 surplus public properties left over after administrative mergers, VnEconomy reported after the city's third-quarter press briefing on October 23. The report says the properties cover about 1.48 million square metres of land and 305,765 square metres of floor area.
According to the report, 689 properties had been received by October 20, including 167 transferred from the housing management centre. Under City Decision 2335/QĐ-UBND the centre is to auction them or lease them short term. Of 499 properties handled under land-law rules, 433 have been publicly advertised for lease and 15 have tenants identified.
A second group of 146 properties falls under Decree 108/2024/NĐ-CP and Resolution 31/2026/NQ-CP: 43 are being leased, 37 are posting lease notices and 66 are received but not yet leased. The report says the aim is to lease all eligible properties within a 90-day plan and finish exploitation within 2026, while slow handovers, incomplete land records and run-down buildings in remote areas are obstacles. The groups it lists add up to 645, and the article does not explain the gap to 705.
Why it matters: Businesses and community groups looking for space may find city-owned buildings on the lease list.
