Da Nang's city government and Vietjet signed a cooperation agreement for 2026-2030 on the morning of 4 November, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. The document is a memorandum of understanding signed by Nguyễn Thị Anh Thi, vice chairwoman of the city People's Committee, and Đỗ Xuân Quang, deputy general director of the airline.

According to the newspaper, the two sides will work together on promoting the city as a destination, opening new routes and improving the performance of existing ones. The agreement also covers digital transformation, market research, joint cultural, tourism and trade events, business matchmaking, sustainable tourism and corporate social responsibility.

Báo Đà Nẵng says Vietjet was the first airline to fly direct between Da Nang and India, and that the two sides have coordinated charter flights from Russia and some other former Soviet markets. The airline will add Da Nang-Osaka and Da Nang-Jakarta services from 20 December 2026, the report says.

The newspaper notes that the Politburo's Resolution 26-NQ/TW, dated 22 August 2026, names Da Nang as one of three tourism growth poles in Vietnam through 2030. Thi was quoted as saying the city is entering a new development phase and that the authorities will keep supporting the partnership within the law.

The report does not give frequencies, fares or ticket-sale dates for the two new routes, and an MOU of this kind does not by itself commit either side to specific flights. Travellers should check the airline's own booking channels for schedules once they are published.
