Da Nang's People's Committee has told city agencies to push the DaNang Smart City app, setting October 31 as the deadline for public employees to install and use it, according to Báo Đà Nẵng on October 18. The instruction is Official Dispatch 10670/UBND-KGVX, also posted on the city portal.
The app currently offers 92 digital services and utilities and has about 1.9 million downloads, the report says. It combines government and business services with a feedback channel for residents.
The dispatch sets two targets. Civil servants, public employees and workers in city-managed agencies should reach "100%" installation by October 31. Ward, commune and special-zone committees should get members of Party bodies, the Fatherland Front, the Youth Union, the Women's Union, residential groups and community digital teams onto the app within October. Those community teams are asked to help households install and activate it and to report numbers to the Department of Science and Technology.
New digital services are to be connected to the app rather than launched as separate apps, and a progress dashboard is to be built. The city links the push to its goal of reaching the global top 50 smart cities by 2030. The report does not say what happens to agencies that miss the deadline.
