Da Nang's People's Committee has approved two pilot commercial housing projects, one of them on a central site left unfinished for years, Tuổi Trẻ reported on October 22.
Both fall under National Assembly Resolution 171 and go to real estate companies that already hold land-use rights.
Diamond Square is planned for 84 Hùng Vương in Hải Châu ward, on 11,170.6 square metres. The investor is Kinh Bắc Đà Nẵng, and the total investment is 5,159 billion dong, with a schedule from the second quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2030. Tuổi Trẻ notes the site was first given to the Viễn Đông Meridian project, which was meant to open in 2011. The city ended that project in 2019 and transferred the land-use rights and assets to Kinh Bắc.
Sapphire Coast is planned for Area C of the Xuân Thiều–Nam Ô villa strip in Liên Chiểu ward, on 8,719.7 square metres. Sapphire Coast Joint Stock Company is the investor, with 2,200 billion dong and a 36-month schedule counted from the approval of the investment policy.
The city said the announcement allows agencies and organisations to take the next steps. The report gives no unit counts, prices or construction start dates.
