The Da Nang People's Committee has approved a resettlement area in Gò Nổi commune for the North-South high-speed railway, with total investment of more than VND269.6 billion, CafeF reported on October 23. The report cites Decision No. 4855/QĐ-UBND, dated October 22, which takes effect on signing.
The area covers about 211,176 square metres, of which 202,406 square metres is the planning area. The city's transport and agriculture works project management board is investor and manager. Funding comes from the central and city budgets and other lawful sources, with construction scheduled from 2026 to 2029.
Planned works include site levelling, roads, drainage, wastewater collection and treatment, water supply, power, lighting, parks and greenery. It is listed as sub-project 10 of the railway's local resettlement work.
For context, the Ministry of Construction aims to start building the 1,541-kilometre line in December 2027, with site clearance by localities expected to finish in the fourth quarter of 2028. The report does not say how many households will move to the Gò Nổi site.
