More than 650 chess players took part in the 2026 open tournament of the Hải Châu Youth Talent Chess Club at APEC Park in Da Nang on Sunday, October 18, Báo Đà Nẵng reported.
The players came from 24 chess clubs across the city. Age groups ran from under-5 to under-13, with a separate open amateur category and a professional category. The tournament used the Swiss system, with 7 or 9 rounds depending on the size of each group.
The organisers were the Da Nang Chess Federation, the Hải Châu ward public service centre and the Hải Châu Youth Talent Chess Club. The article does not name winners, so results are not yet known from that report.
