Da Nang's People's Committee has approved the task for a general plan for Hiệp Đức commune out to 2050 under Decision 4749/QĐ-UBND, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 19, 2026. The report does not give the decision's own signing date.
The plan covers the whole commune, 15,047.6 hectares, in the hills of the former Quảng Nam province. The target is about 23,159 residents by 2050. The direction is for Hiệp Đức to become an economic, cultural and social center that drives regional growth, with a green economy and ecological farming at the core: organic crops, medicinal plants grown under forest canopy and experiential farms linked to eco-tourism and resorts. Protection forests and biodiversity are to be conserved, and the plan must deal with flash-flood, landslide and erosion risks.
In the short term the commune is to complete essential infrastructure, bring social facilities up to new-rural standards and strengthen disaster prevention. Later steps include connecting the technical infrastructure and putting planning data into a digital system.
The commune People's Committee leads the planning, and the city Department of Construction appraises it and keeps the records.
What is not reported: a budget, a land-use breakdown by hectare and a timetable for the plan itself.
