The contractor building the interchange between National Highway 14B and the Hòa Liên–Túy Loan expressway opened part of it to traffic on the afternoon of October 20, Báo Đà Nẵng reported.
A representative of Dacinco Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. said one lane of the new overpass, in the direction of Highway 14B, is now open, along with one right-hand lane of the expressway at the interchange. The paper says traffic through the junction had grown sharply. Da Nang traffic police stepped up control and inspected the site, and asked the contractor to repair damaged road surfaces and add safety measures.
The work is far from finished. The contractor is preparing to open a temporary overpass lane on Highway 14B toward Đại Lộc from the Cẩm Lệ direction, and is completing right-turn ramps from the Da Nang–Quảng Ngãi expressway toward central Da Nang and from the Nam Hải Vân bypass toward Đại Lộc. The overpass, approach roads and paving are still under construction.
The grade-separated interchange, at Km 78+144 of the expressway, adds four indirect left-turn ramps to the four right-turn ramps already built. Total investment is 537.637 billion VND. Construction began in December 2025, and the project is due to be completed in June 2027. The investor is the city's Management Board for Transport and Agriculture Construction Projects.
Why it matters: The junction links Hòa Vang and the Đại Lộc area with the expressway, so drivers there will meet a half-open, active building site for months. The report gives no speed limits for the newly opened lanes; follow signs and police directions on site.
