Da Nang's People's Committee has approved the general planning task for La Êê commune to 2050, according to Decision 4748/QĐ-UBND dated October 16 and posted on the city portal on October 18.
La Êê is a mountain commune on the western border. The planning area covers its whole natural boundary, about 24,312 hectares. The decision sets the brief for the plan: it says what the plan must cover, not what will be built or where.
The La Êê commune People's Committee leads preparation of the plan. The city Department of Construction keeps the approved records and guides the commune. The decision says implementation follows the schedule set by the city and current regulations, and it gives no dates.
The notice does not give a population figure or a target for residents, roads or housing. Those questions will be answered, if at all, when the draft plan itself comes out for review.
