Two Da Nang-based programmers have released a free browser game that turns the city into a farming and social simulation, Da Nang News reported on October 18.

"Little DaNang" is a 2D multiplayer game made by Hoàng Nguyễn Đăng Khoa and Võ Chí Long, who work on it alongside their regular jobs. Players start a new life in the city by farming and raising livestock, selling produce at Con Market, fishing on the Han River, shopping, renting an apartment and chatting with others. The map includes landmarks such as the Dragon Bridge, Mỹ Khê Beach and Bà Nà Hills, and local food such as Quảng noodles.

The game opened to its first players on October 7 and had 2,827 registered accounts by October 11, with five updates so far, the report says. It runs in a web browser and can be installed as a progressive web app on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. The developers say the art is generated by code and the sound uses WebAudio, so the game has no image or music files.

The article does not mention funding or a business model. The developers describe the game as "a gentle invitation for everyone to come to Da Nang."
