MBLand Đà Nẵng, a property developer that has worked in Da Nang and Quảng Nam since 2010, pitched two projects worth roughly 10 trillion dong over five years to city leaders on the afternoon of October 14, according to the city portal. The meeting was a dialogue between the city and tourism businesses chaired by People's Committee Chairman Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng.
The first, "Mỹ Khê Paradise", would sit on an 11,465 square metre plot at 268 Võ Nguyên Giáp street in Ngũ Hành Sơn ward, facing the beach and the An Thượng tourist quarter. The company proposes three phases: a night-economy zone of about 8,000 square metres with international food, a seafood market, performances and local product displays; a 10-storey, 400-room hotel and office block; and an internal road and a self-funded pedestrian bridge over Võ Nguyên Giáp. It also asked about running tourism services on the beach opposite. The second, "MBLand Retreat", would be a luxury lodging project with Hội An cultural content in Hội An Tây ward.
The company's timetable has the night zone breaking ground in November 2026 and opening in April 2027, and the hotel block starting on April 30, 2027. The portal says city leaders noted the proposals and are reviewing them, and that Hùng stressed longer stays and higher spending. It does not report any approval, and the Hội An project still needs procedures completed.
Why it matters
The portal says the proposals fit the city's goals for higher-quality tourism and a stronger night economy. A proposal is not a permit, though, and the beach-services request in particular needs a decision from the city. The dates above are the company's, not the city's.
