A project that backs women-led green and circular-economy ventures is supporting several livelihood models in Da Nang, including a vine tea group in Song Vàng commune, Báo Đà Nẵng's English edition reported on October 18.

The work falls under the Oxfam-led "Supporting Women-Led Green Initiatives" project, with the Da Nang Union of Science and Technology Associations, the GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center and Visible Impact (Germany) as partners and the European Union delegation to Vietnam as sponsor. Women get training and field trips on green and circular-economy practices, plus help scaling up production.

The vine tea model, approved in May, has 20 women involved in growing, harvesting and first-stage processing and had run for four months at the time of the report. Funding is also going toward processing and market links for the tea. In Hải Vân ward the project is supporting produce such as greens, guavas, pumpkins, gourds and peanut oil. It has picked a free-range chicken farm run by the Nam Yên women's chapter for further support and backs a Hòa Bắc cooperative that combines farming with tourism. Two University of Da Nang models complete the list: a water-lily livelihood in Hội An and a project recycling marine fishing nets.

The report gives no funding amounts or income figures for participants.
