Southeast Asian markets sent nearly 600,000 international visitors to Da Nang in the early part of 2026, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 18. The paper does not give exact start and end dates for that period.
Thailand led with 225,062 arrivals, about 23 percent more than a year earlier. The Philippines was second with 208,279, though its numbers peaked in April and then eased for three months. Indonesia peaked in March and has since settled at roughly 5,000 to 6,600 visitors a month; the report says the Bali–Da Nang route, suspended since May, is holding that market back.
On air links, Da Nang–Bangkok runs 48 round trips a week, and Thai Airways plans two flights a day between Bangkok and Da Nang from December 2026. Yangon–Da Nang went from two to four flights a week.
Nguyễn Thị Hoài An, deputy director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said Da Nang should build products for Thai visitors beyond standard tours, drawing on golf, conferences, food, weddings and healthcare. Speakers also urged halal-aware service for Muslim-majority markets. These are recommendations, not announced programmes.
