A road project in Tam Anh commune with a budget of 646 billion dong is about 67% built and still cannot be finished because part of its route has not been cleared, according to a report by Tiền Phong that CafeF republished on Saturday, October 17.
The Tam Hòa main axis road runs 4.8 kilometers from National Highway 1 to Võ Chí Công road and provincial road ĐT.613B. Work began in April 2023 and was meant to finish in April 2025. Quảng Nam's provincial government first moved the deadline to the end of 2025, and Da Nang later set it at the end of 2026.
About 3.6 kilometers of the route has been handed to the contractor, but not in one continuous stretch. The remaining 1.2 kilometers involves 75 land files, 51 of them for housing and residential land, the project's management board told the paper. Sections of the road are already paved. On the Trường Giang bridge, the contractor started bored-pile foundations for two piers and one abutment after more land was handed over in mid-August, and estimates the bridge needs six to seven months more.
Site commander Bùi Xuân Tỉnh said the crew is using dry weather to catch up but that slow handover makes the work, especially the bridge, difficult. The report names no contractor and no new completion date, and finishing by the end of December looks very difficult.
