Nearly 3,000 delegates expected at Vietnam's national eye conference in Da Nang, November 13–15

Da Nang will host the Vietnam Ophthalmology Conference 2026 (VOS 2026) from November 13 to 15 at the Ariyana International Convention Center, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 23. The Vietnam Ophthalmological Society announced the event, which is combined with a meeting of the Indochina Conjunctivitis Study Group.

Nearly 3,000 delegates, including professors, doctors and health experts from Vietnam and abroad, are expected. The programme has one plenary session, 19 specialised sessions and more than 200 scientific presentations.

Topics include cataract (phacoemulsification) surgery, glaucoma, retinal diseases, paediatric ophthalmology, refraction, eyelid and eye plastic surgery, eye trauma and neuro-ophthalmology. The organisers say the aims are to update diagnosis and treatment, share clinical experience, promote technique transfer and strengthen international cooperation.

Why it matters: A gathering of this size will add to hotel and venue demand in mid-November.
