A South Korean diagnostics company, a Da Nang university and the city's startup support center have agreed to trial a livestock disease test on farms in central Vietnam, according to the Da Nang Innovation and Startup Support Center (DISSC), which reported the agreements on October 15.
The two memorandums were signed at a seminar hosted by the University of Danang's University of Science and Education on diagnosing infectious diseases in livestock. The company, ZIODIA, was founded in 2023 in Chuncheon, South Korea. Its ZioCheck platform targets livestock diseases including foot-and-mouth disease and works offline. ZIODIA says it could cut turnaround times compared with standard lab tests; those claims have not been validated here.
One agreement covers trials on farms in the region, with results compared against standard methods. The other sets up testing on the Sơn Mai agricultural cooperative's site, where ZIODIA supplies equipment, DISSC coordinates data analysis and the cooperative hosts.
The introduction came through SURF 2026, the city's startup festival. The report says the technology still needs checking with real samples, and it publishes no trial dates.
