An Hải ward has formally recognised 37 grassroots mediation teams with 186 mediators, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 27. The ward People's Committee announced the decisions at a training conference held with the Da Nang City Lawyers' Association.
The teams handle disputes and conflicts that arise in daily life, according to the paper. The training covered mediation knowledge and skills, and guidance on sharing information so the People's Procuracy can protect public interests and vulnerable groups.
The ward also launched three online contests for 2026. One covers the Constitution and legal knowledge on the National Legal Portal run by the Ministry of Justice. The other two, run by the Da Nang Department of Justice, cover personal data protection and labour, employment and social security law.
The report does not say what kinds of disputes the teams have handled so far, and it gives no figures on caseloads.
