Da Nang has launched, as of October 30, a 90-day push to get more residents set up with a digital identity, Báo Đà Nẵng reports. The People's Committee ordered the campaign in Official Dispatch 11144/UBND-CATP.
The targets are for every eligible citizen to hold a level-2 electronic identity account, and for every level-2 account holder to confirm and link the required documents on the VNeID app, including the five basic papers named under Resolution 66.22. The city also wants at least half of the administrative procedures that qualify for fee reductions under that resolution to receive the discount.
The city police are to lead and guide the work with commune-level authorities, which must review and sort residents and assign targets to each area. Ward and commune committees are responsible directly, drawing up lists of people who have not registered or linked their information and assigning them to neighbourhood groups and villages.
The Fatherland Front and political-social organisations are asked to promote the campaign among their members and workers. The paper's summary says 12 types of information and documents are to be integrated on VNeID.
