Da Nang's Farmers' Association and its Cooperative Alliance have signed a 2026–2030 programme to build up collective farming enterprises, Báo Đà Nẵng reports. The signing took place in Điện Bàn ward.
By 2030 the two bodies aim to set up at least 37 new agricultural cooperatives and 429 cooperative groups, and to strengthen 50 cooperatives that association branches helped form. They want 20% more farming households to join collective organisations and 15% of professional farmer sub-branches to grow into cooperative groups or cooperatives.
Other targets cover market access and skills. Some 45% of supported cooperatives are to be linked with businesses for production and sales, and 30% are to gain access to credit. All association staff working on collective economics are to be trained in the 2023 Cooperative Law, along with at least 90% of cadres inside supported cooperatives.
Nguyễn Út, vice chairman of the city Farmers' Association, said outreach, advice, guidance and grassroots support are the core of the work. The report does not say how the programme will be funded.
