Da Nang is now paying cash rewards to people who give accurate information that leads to the recovery of martyrs' remains, Tuổi Trẻ reported on 30 October. The rewards follow Decree 281/2025, which took effect on 1 January 2026.

Under the rules, information leading to one set of remains earns 5 million dong. A single or collective grave holding two to five sets earns 10 million dong, and a grave with six or more sets earns 20 million dong. Outstanding contributions can also be recognised under the commendation law, with no amount stated.

Tuổi Trẻ gave two recent examples. A resident of Thăng An commune received 5 million dong from the commune military command after a tip led to one set of remains. A resident of Thu Bồn commune received 20 million dong and a certificate from the chairman of the city People's Committee for caring for the remains of 17 martyrs.

The Da Nang Military Command said the awards follow the new regulation and that it has recognised other useful tips in recent months.
