Hue is halving entry fees at five heritage sites for passengers on its tourist trains to Da Nang and Phong Nha, VnExpress reports. The Hue city People's Committee announced the discount, which runs from 3 November to the end of 2026.
It applies to domestic and foreign visitors holding a valid ticket on the Hue-Da Nang or Hue-Phong Nha tourist train. The five sites in the Hue Monuments Complex are the Imperial City, the Royal Antiquities Museum, and the tombs of Emperors Thieu Tri, Duc Duc and Dong Khanh.
The adult prices the report lists from the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre are VND200,000 for the Imperial City, VND50,000 each for the museum and the Thieu Tri and Duc Duc tombs, and VND100,000 for the Dong Khanh tomb. At half price that works out to about VND100,000, VND25,000 and VND50,000 respectively. These are Danang Voice's calculations from the listed prices, not figures stated in the report.
The discount is valid for seven consecutive days from the travel date printed on the ticket, on paper or electronic tickets. Each train ticket earns one discounted visit to one of the five sites. Visitors who qualify for several discounts get only the highest one.
The aim is to encourage train travel and longer stays in Hue. Railway operators and tour businesses must share passenger data with the conservation centre so tickets can be checked at the sites.
