Da Nang's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a promotion and partnership event in Singapore on October 20, Da Nang Online reported on October 21. The aim was to widen the city's international visitor base, with a focus on business events (MICE) and higher-end leisure travel.

Vietnam's ambassador to Singapore, Trần Phước Anh, attended, along with more than 20 partners from Singapore's tourism, aviation and MICE sectors and representatives of 11 Da Nang tourism businesses. Under the theme "Return to Origins," the city presented packages built around beaches, heritage, landscapes, food and local life, and outlined its support policies for partners, especially for MICE.

The report gives one figure to explain the effort: Da Nang received 105,305 Singaporean visitors in the first nine months of 2026, about 37.3 percent more than a year earlier and already more than the city's full-year 2025 total from that market.

The delegation is now at ITB Asia Singapore 2026 on October 21 and 22, sharing the Vietnam pavilion with Ho Chi Minh City's tourism department.

Why it matters: Singapore is a short-haul market with growing flight links to the city. Still unknown: no new contracts, airline commitments or visitor targets were announced.
