Da Nang's People's Committee has approved the design of a resettlement area in Bàn Thạch ward for households displaced by the North-South high-speed railway, according to Báo Đà Nẵng. The decision, numbered 4985 and issued on October 29, covers "Component Project 19" of the national line.
The paper reports a total investment of about 172 billion dong on roughly 10.3 hectares (103,013 square metres). The project is managed by the city's Project Management Board for Transport and Agriculture Construction Works and is scheduled for 2026 to 2029. Funding comes from the central budget, the city budget and other lawful sources.
Work will include site levelling, roads, stormwater and wastewater drainage, a wastewater treatment plant, power supply, street lighting, utility trenches, and parks and green space. The report does not say how many households are expected to move there.
It is the latest in a series of resettlement sites the city has approved along the planned rail route.
