Hòa Khánh ward is expected to get a new canal-side park in 2027, Báo Đà Nẵng reports, funded by a private sponsor rather than the city budget. The Da Nang People's Committee approved the proposal in official dispatch 10933/UBND-SXD.
The park would cover nearly 19,000 square metres along Nguyễn Chơn Road, between Nguyễn Sinh Sắc and Trần Triệu Luật streets, beside the Phương Trang high-rise commercial complex. Phương Trang Investment Joint Stock Company is sponsoring the project, which the paper puts at more than 23.3 billion dong.
Plans include green space, walking paths, landscape lighting and a community activity area along the canal. The Department of Construction will guide the investor on implementation.
Once built, the Hòa Khánh ward People's Committee will receive, manage and operate the assets. The report gives 2027 as the expected completion year and does not name a start date.
