California Fitness & Yoga now has just one gym operating nationwide, Dan Tri reports. The Aeon Mall Binh Tan club in Ho Chi Minh City was suspended from 3 November until further notice, "to adjust operations". Hanoi locations have been suspended since 25 October.
The report says the only Nha Trang club has also closed, after the Bien Hoa and Da Nang branches. The one still open is Cali Binh Duong Square.
The company plans to reopen the Vung Tau and Bien Hoa clubs on 5 November. No date has been announced for other clubs. The chain had about 35 clubs in 2025.
For members, the company surveyed them on 31 October about a temporary package priced at VND599,000 a month for current members and VND999,000 for new ones. Many members objected, especially those who prepaid long-term packages they have not finished using.
The company says members can either keep their current benefits or convert the remaining value of their membership into other brand services. Members who disagree can wait for further updates.
The report does not mention cash refunds. The company says the closures are operational adjustments and that it will notify members of reopening details in future announcements.
Members with prepaid packages, including in Da Nang, should keep their contracts and receipts and ask in writing what happens to their remaining balance.
