Da Nang Chairman Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng has sharply criticised agency and local heads over 52 overdue tasks from the city leadership's conclusion notices, CafeF reports. The city administration office published the dispatch on 3 November.

The review covers conclusion notices issued between 1 January and 25 October 2026. Of the 52 overdue tasks, 28 have no substantive report of results, 18 are under way but behind schedule, five are joint tasks lacking full reports and one has a result that must be re-checked and confirmed.

CafeF says three bodies are the hot spots, each with overdue items more than 60 days old and no report back: the management board for civil, industrial and economic-infrastructure projects, the city's land fund development centre, and the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

The chairman said the delays hold back public investment disbursement and site clearance at key projects, according to the report. For the 28 tasks without a substantive report, agencies must find the cause of the delay, commit to completion dates and report to the city by 5 November. For the 18 delayed tasks, they must put maximum staff and equipment into clearing site and investment-procedure obstacles, and report in writing by the same date on any difficulty beyond their authority.

Vice chairmen are to work directly with each unit in their area, inspect on site and resolve problems on the spot.
