Da Nang seeks comment on a draft rule for planning urban areas around public transport

Da Nang's Department of Construction has begun gathering comments on a draft resolution for the city's People's Council on planning urban development areas around public transport, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 26. The request was sent in Official Letter No. 19639/SXD-QHKT&PTĐT.

The draft covers how such plans are prepared, appraised and approved. It rests on the Railway Law (95/2025/QH15) and is being supplemented under the Urban Development Law (18/2026/QH16).

Agencies have at least 10 days from receiving the letter to reply in writing, and silence counts as agreement. The city portal has been asked to publish the draft so that organisations and residents can comment too, with those comments due to the department 10 days after publication.

The department aims to submit the draft to the People's Council at its session at the end of 2026. The report does not say which corridors or stations the planning would first apply to.
