Da Nang is arranging health checks for more than 5,000 students and school staff in mountain and border communes, VOV reports. The City People's Committee issued the plan, and the checks will run through October and November 2026.

Six primary and lower secondary boarding schools are involved, in the communes of A Vương, Tây Giang, Hùng Sơn, Đắc Pring, La Dêê and La Êê. Nearly 4,700 boarding students and more than 400 managers, teachers and staff are covered. Hùng Sơn has the most students, nearly 1,300.

The Department of Health leads, working with the Department of Education and Training and local authorities, and Da Nang Hospital carries out the examinations. They include a clinical check, a fitness assessment, a general examination, lab tests ordered by doctors, and counselling or referral for abnormal results.

With no specific funding guidance for student checks yet, the city will pay from its own budget first, while employers cover staff exams. Schools must upload results to the Ministry of Health's data portal without disrupting lessons.
