Da Nang sets weekly spending targets for national programme funds

Da Nang has ordered departments and local governments to set weekly spending targets for national target programme funds and to use up the money before year-end, Báo Đà Nẵng reports. The city's Official Dispatch No. 11061/UBND-KT follows a conclusion by Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng on the 2026-2035 programme for rural, ethnic-minority and mountainous areas.

Priorities are clean water, residential land, production land and stable livelihoods, with attention to difficult areas and vulnerable groups. Each task must have one lead agency responsible.

Capital carried over from 2021-2025 must be spent before December 15, and 2026 funds and money moved into the 2026-2030 period before December 31. Commune, ward and special-zone committees must also raise their share of counterpart funding.

The paper says units that fail to disburse all central budget capital must answer to the city People's Committee and will see next year's allocation cut.
