Tuoi Tre News reported on 6 November that Han Market draws more than 7,000 to 8,000 visitors a day in peak periods. The market has about 800 stalls and sits between Bach Dang and Tran Phu streets, near Dragon Bridge and Da Nang Cathedral.

Visitors were once mostly South Korean. The paper says they now also include travellers from India, China, Taiwan and Malaysia.

Ao dai are a main draw. Tailors offer express fittings that take about 30 minutes, working in an assembly line with different workers handling different stages. The market also sells hats and other goods.

Nguyen Trung Thanh, head of the market's management board, told Tuoi Tre News: "This is not only a shopping market, but also a tourist attraction." He described vendors as "ambassadors who contribute to introducing the image and identity of Da Nang to visitors."

Unlike many traditional markets, vendors can offer refunds to dissatisfied customers. Rule-breakers can be suspended for 3 to 30 days, and serious cases can lead to contract termination. Vendors receive training in Korean, English and customer service.

A South Korean tourist quoted in the article said the market "feels like a showcase of local products" with relatively affordable goods.
