A new ward-level centre for OCOP (One Commune One Product) goods has opened in Hương Trà ward, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 26. The Southern Da Nang OCOP Center was set up by an agriculture and forestry resource company led by director Trần Văn Hùng, and the paper gives no exact opening date.

About 40 OCOP businesses take part and more than 100 product types are on display. Roughly 10 of the businesses come from northern provinces, including Sơn La, Hưng Yên, Bắc Ninh and Phú Thọ. A Hanoi-based agriculture company signed an agreement to build an OCOP trade network across the north and centre.

The centre has set up a livestream room and is training staff to sell on e-commerce platforms and social media. It is also reviewing products and production processes and working on traceability.

Plans include a network of linked shops with an online ordering platform, quality control, a transit warehouse and digital storage, aimed at cutting logistics costs. The centre also wants to be a stop for tourists and tour operators, and the Da Nang Farmers' Association has pledged support with fairs, e-commerce help and access to preferential loans.
