Vietnam's national beach soccer team is training on the sand at Biển Đông Park in Da Nang ahead of the 2026 Asian Beach Soccer Championship, Da Nang Newspaper reports. The squad, led by head coach Mai Văn Đức, has 20 players picked after the national championship held in Quy Nhơn in August.

Nine of them played at the 2025 Asian championship. Sessions focus on stamina, adapting to the sand surface, ball control, passing combinations and finishing in tight spaces, along with set plays. The report does not say when the camp started or ends.

The team first chose Da Nang as its training base in March 2025. The coach cited conditions he judged better than other coastal cities.

The Asian championship runs from 18 to 28 November in Phang Nga, Thailand, with 12 teams in three groups. Vietnam is in Group B with Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iran, the reigning Asian champion.

Vietnam plays Lebanon on 19 November, Iran on 21 November and Afghanistan on 23 November, all at 17:00. The coach said the aim is to get through the group stage.
