The Cam Thanh nipa palm forest at the mouth of the Thu Bon River received about 1.65 million visitors in the first 10 months of 2026, Tuoi Tre reports. That is more than 320,000 above the full-year target of 1.33 million, or over 24 percent.

Tourism activities there earned about VND50 billion through the end of October, according to Le Cong Sy, director of the Hoi An Dong Ward public service provision center, who supplied the figures. The forest lies about 3 km southeast of Hoi An Ancient Town and is often called a "mini Mekong Delta".

Ticket revenue was under VND20 billion a year before COVID-19 and reached VND37 billion in 2025, the report says. It is projected at about VND40 billion for 2026. The target was passed by late August.

Sy credited security and safety, stronger promotion including in South Korea, reorganised visitor activities and tighter management. New experiences such as river services, ba trao boat singing and basket-boat rowing were also cited. The report says nearby attractions grew slowly or stayed flat over the period.

The citywide picture is also up.

Da Nang received about 17.08 million visitors staying in accommodation in the 10 months, up 24.5 percent on a year earlier, the report says. International visitors were about 8.3 million and domestic visitors about 8.8 million. Accommodation, dining and travel revenue exceeded VND62 trillion, up more than 25 percent.

The report does not name the forest's operator. It notes that the forest supports thousands of households.
