The Department of Agriculture and Environment has issued a land use right certificate, known as a "red book", to Chu Lai Industrial Park infrastructure developer Cizidco, the city People's Committee Office announced on 5 November, according to Tuoi Tre. The certificate covers more than 32.58 hectares in the expanded Tam Thang Industrial Park, in Thang Truong commune and Ban Thach ward.
It came a day after Vice Chairman Phan Thai Binh met departments and investors about Chu Lai Open Economic Zone projects. Cizidco told that meeting it had completed 100 percent of its financial obligations and had sent many reports and proposals. It said the missing certificate for its phase 1 land was delaying the handover of land to Hyosung Group.
Binh criticised the department for delaying a city directive that required the matter to be settled before 20 October, and asked its leaders to review the responsibility of those involved. The department had been told to finish the certificate and a land price adjustment for Cizidco by 10 November.
The certificate was issued ahead of that deadline. The report does not say whether the land price adjustment has been completed, and it does not give a date for the handover to Hyosung.
