Da Nang's seventh attempt to sell the former Chi Lăng Stadium land is set for October 29 with a starting price of VND 8.55 trillion, Tiền Phong reports in a piece carried by CafeF. The auction will be held online by the Da Nang Asset Auction Service Center, with a bid step of VND 90 billion, according to Báo Đấu thầu.

The starting price is VND 270 billion below the previous round's VND 8.82 trillion, and more than VND 1.15 trillion below the first round in April 2026, which began at over VND 9.7 trillion. Tiền Phong reports that one round was suspended and the five that followed failed because no one bid.

The lot is the land-use rights for a commercial and service complex on the former stadium site in Hải Châu ward: 10 land-use certificates covering 14 plots and more than 55,000 square metres. The stadium structures were demolished in late May 2026 to clear the site, according to the same report.

The winning bidder must also pay more than VND 139 billion in back-dated land-use fees under Decision 1416 of July 1, 2024, within 30 days of a successful auction. Báo Đấu thầu says participants must assess the usability of the property themselves.

Tiền Phong links the sale to the enforcement of part of a judgment in a first-stage criminal case. It reports that about VND 467 billion has been recovered so far and that more than VND 3.66 trillion in principal, excluding interest, remains owed to the bank.

Neither report gave the deposit amount or registration dates. Anyone planning to bid should check the auction centre's notice.
