Da Nang's tax authority warned taxpayers on October 28 about two websites that imitate its brand, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. It said it found the sites through online monitoring.
The sites are congthuegov[.]com and khaithuedientugov[.]com. According to the warning, they are built to collect login details for the tax public-services system and personal information such as date of birth, citizen ID number, tax code, password, phone number, bank details and address.
The tax office advises people not to log in or enter citizen ID, tax code or bank details on either site. It says tax services should be reached only through official tax-authority links, and that people should not open unfamiliar links sent by text message, email or social media. The official public-services system named in the report is dichvucong.gdt.gov.vn.
The report does not say whether anyone has lost money or data.
