Da Nang's Department of Construction declared nine commercial-transport vehicle badges invalid on October 28 after the holder reported them lost, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. The notice, No. 19834/TB-SXD, covers badges issued to vehicles of the Thiên Phúc general business cooperative, whose address is 334 Huỳnh Thúc Kháng, Tam Kỳ ward.

The cooperative reported the loss in a document the department received on October 26, and the badges have been invalid since that date. The report does not list the badge numbers or types. In practice, that means any of the nine badges still displayed on a vehicle after October 26 is no longer valid for carrying passengers or freight for hire.

The department has asked construction departments in other provinces and cities, and police, to recover the badges and deal with anyone found using them under the law. The report gives no further instructions for drivers, and it does not say whether the badges have since been found.
