Da Nang City Rehabilitation Hospital held a colloquium on the afternoon of October 26 to mark 50 years since its founding, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. The event looked back on the hospital's history, honoured past generations of doctors and recognised staff from several departments.

The hospital began in 1976 as the Quảng Nam – Đà Nẵng Nursing Institute. It took its current name in 2014 and moved in 2019 to a new site at 79 Đinh Gia Trinh in Hòa Xuân ward. In 2022 the city People's Committee ranked it Level II, and in September 2025 it introduced electronic medical records.

Its services include rehabilitation after stroke, trauma and spinal cord injury, and early intervention for children with developmental disorders. Director Nguyễn Văn Dũng said the 50-year mark was a chance to acknowledge the dedication of staff across generations.

The hospital says it wants to raise professional quality, train staff and apply more technology, and to become a regional rehabilitation centre for the Central and Central Highlands region. The report gives no timetable or funding for that goal.
