Da Nang's accommodation establishments served more than 15.8 million visitors in the first nine months of 2026, up over 26% on a year earlier, Báo Đà Nẵng reports. International arrivals reached nearly 7.7 million, up more than 28%.
South Korea accounted for 20.44% of international visitors, followed by China (9.64%), India (5.95%) and Taiwan (5.5%). The United States, Australia, Russia and the United Kingdom also rank in the top 10. As of early October, 20 regular international routes linked the city with places including Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Dubai and Myanmar, averaging 68 flights a day.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has set 2027 goals of 15-20% growth in international visitors overall. By market it targets 15% for Northeast Asia, 15-20% for India, 25-30% each for the Philippines and Thailand, 20-30% for Singapore, and 30-40% for Russia and CIS countries. For long-haul markets, it aims for 30% from Europe and 35% each from North America and Australia.
Industry figures quoted in the report urged more products for Asian travellers, and a stronger push into Russian-speaking and Japanese markets.
