A total of 162 works have qualified for the 2026 Golden Hammer and Sickle press award of Da Nang, according to Báo Đà Nẵng on October 28. The entries came from central and city news outlets, reporters, contributors and non-professional authors after more than four months of submissions.
The jury is split into three sub-panels that score entries on content and presentation. It is led by Nguyễn Đức Nam, standing deputy head of the Municipal Party Committee's organising board.
The prize pool has 30 awards: two A prizes of 20 million dong each, four B prizes of 15 million dong, four C prizes of 10 million dong and ten encouragement prizes of 7 million dong. Special prizes of 5 million dong each are set aside for up to five outstanding collectives, up to three outstanding works by non-professional authors and up to two outstanding non-professional collectives.
